The Event The “From Here to Eternity” 5K Run & Walk. The event will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. The Course The challenging 5K course begins at the San Marcos CISD Lamar Annex and continues on residential streets that vary from flat to hilly, and loops through the San Marcos City Cemetery before finishing at back at Lamar. Entry Fee Pre-registration (postmarked by Saturday 9/25/10): $15.00 Late registration (9/26/10 - race day): $20.00 Current students at Texas State University - San Marcos receive a $3.00 discount (with student ID)
Registration Race-day registration will be at the Lamar Annex from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Awards Delightfully unique, handmade tombstone trophies will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers, the top male and female masters finishers (over 40 years of age) and to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age division. The awards will be presented at approximately 9:00 a.m. T-Shirts All registered participants will receive a “From Here to Eternity 5K Run/Walk” T-shirt. Shirts are guaranteed on race day to the first 75 registered participants. We can’t guarantee sizes, but we’ll do our best! Age Divisions 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. T-Shirt Pick-Up T-Shirt pick-up is on race day only, beginning at 7:00 a.m. at race registration at the Lamar Annex. About the “From Here to Eternity” 5K Run/Walk Proceeds from the seventh annual “From Here to Eternity” 5K Run/Walk will be used for the beautification and enhancement of the aesthetic environment of the historic San Marcos City Cemetery and will provide other assistance in order to improve cemetery facilities and services.
