Remember how races used to be when the running craze first started? The Country Roads 10K is one of those races. That’s right... “We don’t need no stinking chip timing!” Just a challenging course in a closed-in, country-like subdivision; a great T-shirt; tear-tag scoring; a swimming pool for a post-race dip and some nice door prizes in addition to the awards. And it’s all managed by experienced volunteers from the San Marcos Runners Club; a race put on by runners for everyone.
